Red Alert In Tollywood

There is a general perception in the Tollywood circuit that the directors from Kollywood are very talented and skilful but usually they carry an ounce of 'Arava Paithyam' in them. This is usually difficult to handle in Tollywood sensibilities. But still, projects do happen and there are times when few hard decisions have to be taken.

Currently, there is a buzz that Telugu producers are planning to avoid director Raghava Lawrence. The reason for that is, his approach. The talk is that whenever Lawrence produces his own films, he ensures that they happen in very tight and modest budgets.

However, when he directs films for other producers, he simply spends money like water and takes the budget to an alarming level. That's what happened with his recent release 'Rebel'. So, given this double standards, it is heard that the producers council is working on ways to boycott Lawrence!
