Life has come a full circle for Vinod Khanna and Randhir Kapoor. 38 years after Prakash Mehra's Haath Ki Safaai, they're coming together again in Prabhu Dheva's Hindi remake of his Tamil hit Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. The veterans had played long-lost brothers in Haath Ki Safaai.
Strangely they were never cast together again. It was believed that the two did not have an easy time shooting together for Haath Ki Safaai.
Says Prabhu Dheva, "Since I am launching Kumar Taurani's son in my film, I wanted a strong supporting cast. Randhir Kapoor and Vinod Khanna were my natural choices for two very important roles in the film."
Interestingly, both Randhir and Vinod were away from the camera for a very long time. Randhir returned with Housefull this year and Vinod Khanna did Players recently after a long hiatus.
Says an actress who knows both the veteran actors well, "For a long time both the actors stayed away from the camera. Vinod and Daboo are bored with trying other things. They're both itching to get back to the camera with as many roles as possible."
